Investing in Iowa Child Care

  • Investing in Iowa Child Care (IICC) is a funding program intended to increase availability of child care throughout the State. The program is administered by Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) with funds from the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021. Funding is available for programs that are licensed or registered by the Department of Human Services (DHS) or are seeking to be licensed or registered by DHS. As of 7/6/21, this program is no longer accepting new applications. Resources include: Expense List - allowable & non-allowable expenditures, Budget Form, Fiscal Memo, W-9 Form

Rural Child Care Market Study Grant Program

  • Provides up to $100,000 to support the use of data and analysis by rural communities to determine the specific needs and solutions for their area. In partnership with First Children’s Finance, funding from the program will empower communities to assess their current child care market environment and develop strategies. Learn more here.

WAGE$® Iowa

  • WAGE$® offers salary supplements (also called stipends) to the early care and education workforce, based on the individual's level of formal education and commitment to their program. Thanks to funds from the Iowa Department of Human Services, Child Care WAGE$® IOWA will be available in all 99 Iowa counties effective July 1, 2021 and not guaranteed beyond June 30, 2022.
