Investing in Iowa Child Care

  • Investing in Iowa Child Care (IICC) is a funding program intended to increase availability of child care throughout the State. The program is administered by Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) with funds from the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021. Funding is available for programs that are licensed or registered by the Department of Human Services (DHS) or are seeking to be licensed or registered by DHS.

U.S. Small Business Administration

  • Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) - a forgivable loan program to help very small businesses, such as child care programs. From February 24 to May 31, 2021, only businesses with fewer than 20 employees can apply for a PPP loan. This exclusive application period allows participating lenders to focus on serving very small businesses, such as family child care (FCC) educators and early care and education (ECE) programs.

WAGE$® Iowa

  • WAGE$® offers salary supplements (also called stipends) to the early care and education workforce, based on the individual's level of formal education and commitment to their program. Thanks to funds from the Iowa Department of Human Services, Child Care WAGE$® IOWA will be available in all 99 Iowa counties effective July 1, 2021 and not guaranteed beyond June 30, 2022.
