In most communities the demand for child care far exceeds supply and a high provider turnover rate creates a constant need for new providers. Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) offers providers an entry point to the child care field and helps them grow and succeed.

CCR&R Child Care Consultants are a resource to help improve the quality of care for all of Iowa’s children. Consultants provide technical assistance and consultations to meet the individualized needs of each provider. Consultation topics may include:

  • ChildNet Certification
  • CCR&R service orientation or interview
  • CCR&R training implementation
  • Department of Human Services (DHS) Consultation Guide for Registered Child Development Homes
  • Department of Human Services (DHS) regulatory correction action plan
  • Environmental Rating Scales (ERS) assessment
  • Exemption from Immunizations Form
  • Iowa Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC)
  • Licensing & regulatory requirements
  • National Accreditation
  • Policies and procedures
