The USDA is proposing some changes to better align the meal patterns with the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. There have not been any major changes since 1968. This video will go through these changes. There will be a 3 month public comment period and those comments will be taken into account before the new proposed changes become permanent. The second part of this video is on whole grains and how to acclimate them into your daily menu routines.

The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is designed to reimburse providers for nutritious meals served to children in a child care environment. The goal of the program is to provide nutritious meals to children, introduce them to a variety of foods, promote good eating habits and provide opportunities for them to learn about foods.
