Many of you have heard of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) but did you know that March 13-19, 2016 is National CACFP Week? This week is designed to raise awareness of how this valuable program brings healthy foods to child care programs across the country. CACFP is available to assist all registered in-home child care providers as well as centers and preschool programs. The program can improve the nutrition of children enrolled in these programs and help offset high food costs. The program also benefits programs by providing them nutrition education and support services to help them teach children in their care about healthy eating habits.
