HHS Extends Payments for Monthly CCMS Licenses Fees

Dear Child Care Providers,

In October 2022, HHS launched a strategy to give child care programs across Iowa tools and resources to support business operations.

The strategy is multi-pronged:

12-months of financial management coaching (FMC) through the Child Care Collaborative of Iowa (CCCI);
Free brightwheel or Playground child care management system (CCMS) software licenses; and
Technology grants

I am reaching out let you know that HHS will continue to fund monthly software license fees for either Playground or brightwheel through June 30, 2026.

I believe, and providers have confirmed, that implementing a CCMS with robust features and functionality is a gamechanger, whether you are a home-based provider caring for six (6) children or a child care center caring for 160+ children.
