Dear Child Care Providers,
Governor Reynolds launched the Child Care Task Force on March 10, 2021. The Task Force is charged with developing a comprehensive strategy to address the child care shortage and barriers to work in Iowa. They will be sharing their ideas and recommendations with the Governor. Your input will be instrumental in the development of the ideas and recommendations made by the Task Force. They will be holding a Virtual Town Hall Meeting on June 1 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Please consider attending the meeting and offering your thoughts and/or suggestions for improvement to Iowa's child care system.
If you are interested in participating, please send an email to Ryan.Capps@governor.iowa.gov with your name and affiliation (if any).
“No comprehensive strategy to address child care would be complete without direct input from parents and child care providers,” said Gov. Reynolds. “This Virtual Town Hall meeting will ensure the Task Force receives valuable insight into the current state of child care in Iowa and ways to improve it from those who know it best.”
Thank you for your consideration to attend. We value your input!
