On March 3, Ann Garvey DVM, MPH, MA Deputy State Epidemiologist, Iowa Department of Public Health in collaboration with Healthy Child Care Iowa recorded a webinar for Iowa child care programs. The webinar includes information about the new Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, prevention and recommendations specific for Iowa child care providers (homes and centers/preschools).
The COVID-19 Guidance: Child Care Centers and Homes is a guidance document with specific information for Iowa child care providers about symptoms, exclusion, planning for absenteeism and communication. The EPA COVID-19 Disinfecting List is a handout by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which lists EPA registered disinfecting products for use against Novel Coronavirus. Both documents can be found under the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) Resources heading on the Healthy Child Care Iowa (HCCI) printed products webpage.

Additionally, IDPH has created a new webpage designed to keep Iowans informed about Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). There is a chart listing all cases in Iowa, travel consideration and resources for businesses, schools, healthcare, etc.
