If you have been thinking about becoming a registered Child Development Home (CDH) in Iowa, now is the time! Our Child Care Ready accelerated professional development series features many new incentives when participants complete registration from October to December 2020.
Community Development Specialist, Juliane Davis states, "We are off to a great start on our first Child Care Ready series in Central Iowa! GoToMeeting and Zoom have been great platforms to offer our virtual series. Attendees have been engaged, excited to learn about providing child care and we have been able to make valuable connections between participants and our Child Care Consultants. This recruitment effort will support communities by providing additional child care spaces!"
The allocation CCR&R received from the Iowa Women's Foundation who secured a grant through the Iowa Employer Innovation Fund through Future Ready Iowa, allows for us to host ten Child Care Ready accelerated professional development series. The priority of this grant is to offer services and equipment that will support child care providers seeking to start-up a Child Development Home (CDH) business and become registered in the state of Iowa. Our hope is that this grant will remove the barriers associated with costs of trainings, start-up materials, supplies and other issues individuals might be facing.
Child Care Ready by CCR&R features sessions on required documentation for registration, required professional development, health & safety basics and an overview of business basics. Lastly, we offer our Child Care Consultant services... for the life of your business! All this at no-cost to participants!
