Business and Financial Fundamentals for Center-Based Child Care is a series of eight modules designed to introduce, demystify and engage participants in the fundamental business practices you need to operate a quality sustainable child care center. Developed by First Children’s Finance with support from Northwest Area Foundation, this series is geared toward child care center and preschool directors, managers, owners and board members.

Modules 1-4- Register Now!

Each full-day workshop includes CM1 through CM4, for a total of 6 DHS credit and NAC renewal hours. Must be completed before taking CM5 through CM8.

  • CM4 Cash Flow

All workshops will be 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • January 14, (Tuesday)- Waterloo
  • January 29, (Wednesday)- Spencer
  • January 30, (Thursday)- Harlan
  • February 18, (Tuesday)- Ottumwa
  • February 20, (Thursday)- Iowa City

Modules 5-8- Registration Opens January 1

Modules 5-8 will be offered individually as webinars and will count as 1 1/2 hours of Iowa DHS credit and NAC renewal hours each. Webinars may be taken in any order after completing CM1 through CM4.
