And so the Iowa Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) blog begins….It is time we bring child care providers and parents together in all aspects! Our goal is for providers and parents to understand how intertwined home life and child care life is for children. When providers and parents are on the same page, children are able to transition quickly and easily from one environment to the other.

Iowa CCR&R will have a blog post every Thursday on a variety of topics that both parents and child care providers can relate to. From pool safety to social skills to brain development – we are going to have it all!

Let's think deeper than we ever have before!

Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success. -Henry Ford

  • Coming together is the beginning...When a baby is born and parents are working, the search for child care begins.
  • Keeping together is progress…Once the infant starts attending child care, the parents and child care provider must help each other create positive environments at home and at child care.
  • Working together is success...If the parents and child care provider continue a trusting partnership, they’ll see success – in the child.

Have you ever watched High School Musical and heard the song, “We’re all in this Together?” If you need a refresher, here is the song and dance! We need to start thinking about child care like this – We are all in this together! And when we come together, keep together and work together, our children will be successful.

We look forward to having conversations with parents and child care providers through our blogs posts, so please contact us today or reach out to us on social media. We are all here to do one thing…come together for quality child care.

Enjoy!

-Your friends at Iowa Child Care Resource & Referral
